Georgia Symphony Orchestra principal oboist Miri Kudo-Ueda, praised for her "lyric sensibility" by The Boston Musical Intelligencer, "creamy-toned oboe" by Boston Classical Review, and "warm tone and singing like playing" by The Boston Musical Intelligencer. Miri Kudo is an active orchestra and chamber musician in Boston, she has appeared in many of acclaimed ensembles in Boston including Boston Pops Orchestra, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, A Far Cry, The American Repertory Theater "Crossing""The Great Comet of 1812", Orchestra of Indian Hill, Boston Musica Viva, ALEA III, Boston Civic Symphony, Unitas Ensemble, and Boston Chamber Orchestra. She was the winner of the Boston Woodwind Society Oboe Merit Award Competition 2011, Longy School of Music Concerto Competition 2011, Longy School of Music Honors Competition 2011, 2014. Miri is also establishing her self as a soloist and has performed with Longy Conservatory Orchestra performing the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C major in 2011. She holds Artist Diploma and Graduate Performance Diploma from Longy School of Music of Bard College where she studied with Keisuke Wakao, assistant principal oboist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Bachelor of Education from Saitama University(Japan). She also studied with Takahisa Shinmatsu, and Marco Granados.
